Djinn's Food

About Djinn's Food

Djinn's Food is a food and lifestyle channel about what Lagos actually eats.

Not restaurant food. The tray at the bus stop, the woman frying akara before seven, the
buka down the street that has been doing the same soup for twenty years. Breakfast, lunch
and supper, bought where everyone else buys them.

Each dish gets the same three questions: what does it taste like, what is in it, and what
does it do for your body. The first is honest opinion. The second is what the seller says
and what you can see. The third is general nutrition information about the ingredients —
useful for deciding what to eat, but not a substitute for advice from a doctor or a
dietitian.

Everything here starts as a video on YouTube. The site is where the writing goes.
